Construction Engineering and Inspection

Tectonic offers a broad range of construction inspection services for new building construction, building additions and renovations, as well as transportation and transit, utilities, dams and water/wastewater treatment plants, public spaces and recreational projects. Competent inspection is critical for successful construction and requires sound judgment, procedural knowledge, effective techniques, and accurate documentation. Tectonic provides trained, professional inspectors who hold the necessary certifications from the American Concrete Institute (ACI), the International Code Council (ICC), the American Welding Society (AWS), and the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Levels I to IV, enabling them to complete each project safely and efficiently.

Our in-depth construction inspection services ensure compliance for both design and construction with contract specifications and the Quality Control Plan. Tectonic provides for sampling and testing of materials in the field and in the laboratory. To facilitate the construction schedule, we maintain laboratories in Astoria, Queens and Newburgh, Orange County licensed by the NYC Department of Buildings (NYCDOB) and accredited through, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). Our Astoria, Queens lab is accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP Testing Lab Code 600185-0).
