Tectonic has provided, and is currently providing, professional geotechnical and environmental services, as well as controlled inspection/materials testing services on a “call-in” basis from 2001 to present for various locations in NY and NJ.
The geotechnical/environmental design services have included providing subsurface investigations, inspections of soil test borings, rock coring, monitoring well installation, soil identification, laboratory testing, geotechnical/geohydrologic report preparation, and detailed logs of the daily work for review by the Port Authority Supervisor.
Construction phase monitoring services have included vibration, crack, and deformation monitoring.
Controlled inspection services have included concrete and asphalt mix design review, concrete testing, deep foundation inspections (drilled and driven piles including load testing), fill placement, subgrades, asphalt pavement, structural steel connections, bolting, steel reinforcement, masonry, fireproofing, and precast concrete inspections.
