Tectonic is providing construction inspection and materials testing services at various facilities under the three-year contracts GES-134, GES-150, GES-162 and GES-174. TBTA facilities include Bronx Whitestone Bridge, Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, Brooklyn Battery Parking Garage, Cross Bay Bridge, Henry Hudson Bridge, Marine Parkway Bridge, Queens Midtown Tunnel, Throgs Neck Bridge, Verrazano Bridge, Triborough Bridge, Robert Moses Administration Building, Main 2 Broadway Building and off-site fabrication shops and manufacturing facilities.
Services cover concrete, masonry, soil, borings, asphalt, paint, structural steel, spray-on fireproofing, water analysis, roofing analysis, electrical, and HVAC. Compaction testing including gradation, Atterberg limits, density, and moisture content. Responsibilities include traffic control coordination with Contractors, protection of existing components (i.e. barricades, etc.), environmental protection (i.e. control of emissions, noise/dust control, control of toxic substances, water pollution, erosion control, historic environmental preservation, ground water safety).
