Tectonic is at the forefront of delivering comprehensive field inspection and management support services for the Construction and Closeout Phases of the Wireless Communication Access System (WCAS) Wide Expansion Project. This ambitious endeavor aims to revolutionize wireless connectivity across New York City Transit (NYCT) and Staten Island Railway (SIR) Elevated Structures, Tunnels, and Entrances. Tectonic is serving as a direct representative of Boldyn Networks in overseeing the work of several General Contractors, expertly monitoring execution of unit-price work and ensuring a high-quality of installations. The project’s scope encompasses a wide range of critical work elements, including:
• Installation of Radio equipment, Radiating Cable, Power, Fiber, and
associated hardware in approximately 307 Tunnel segments.
• Deployment of Light Fixture Integrated Antennae (LFIA), Equipment
Concealment Enclosures (ECEs), Coaxial Cables, Fiber, Power, and
associated hardware for Small Cell Antennae at Subway Entrances.
• Installation of Radio Equipment, Antennas, Power, Fiber, and
associated hardware to provide Wi-Fi service along the Elevated
superstructures, including SIR.
