Tectonic was awarded a multi-year term agreement with Orange County DPW to provide engineering services for various county-owned dams to bring them into compliance with NYSDEC regulations. Professional services are performed in accordance with NYSDEC guidelines.

Services include:

• Dam inspections to identify critical maintenance items and identify potential adverse conditions.
• Performance of safety inspections to identify conditions which might suggest distress of the dam such as cracks, slides, erosion, seepage, saturated ground, sink holes or other unusual deformations.
• Preparation of Engineering Assessments (EA) to assess whether the dams are in conformance with current dam safety criteria, and to identify deficiencies that may exist and recommend, as appropriate, remedial repairs, operational restrictions, monitoring, and/or modifications. The assessment also identifies any analyses and/or studies needed to assess and determine solutions to the identified deficiencies.
• Review of the existing Inspection and Maintenance Plan (IMP) for each dam for consistency with currently-observed conditions and conformance with the most recently-adopted NYSDEC guidance documentation.
• Annual Emergency Action Plan (EAP) Updates.
