Tectonic’s multi-year term agreement with the Orange County Department of Public Works (OCDPW) provides geotechnical engineering services on an “as-needed” basis for projects throughout Orange County. These services provide for soil investigations relating to various bridge and culvert design projects and include, but are not limited to, obtaining test borings, performance of subsurface investigations, evaluations of soil material, logging of subsurface soil and groundwater conditions, collection of soil samples for laboratory testing; laboratory testing of soil samples selected to help in the field identifications of the soils, and to assist in identifying the soils’ engineering properties; geotechnical engineering analysis of the subsurface conditions as related to the design and construction of the replacement bridge foundations; and preparation of an engineering report presenting the results of the subsurface investigation and geotechnical recommendations for the design and construction of the foundations for replacement bridge structures.
