Tectonic provided construction management services for the $2 Million roadway rehabilitation project, which involved installation of access gate with traffic loop via electrical wire and cable. The project also involved paving via WMA PG 64-22, tack coat, pavement markings, new inlets and swales, new culverts and concrete piping, excavation and backfill, new steel-backed timber guard rail installation, riprap stone protection, soil erosion measures, concrete curb, new traffic signs, landscaping, and MPT with road closures. Tectonic provided an on-site construction manager representative (CMR). The CMR’s responsibilities included the
following:
• Coordinating with the National Park Service’s (NPS) contracting officer, the construction contractor and others
as needed.
• Uploading documents (reports, reviews, evaluations, design work) to the NPS project website. • Facilitating weekly progress meetings at the project site.
• Reviewing, commenting on, and processing construction contractor’s technical and informational submittals
and updating the submittal tracking log on the project website.
• Reviewing construction contractor’s baseline and progress schedules.
• Reviewing construction contractor’s certified payrolls for accuracy and compliance with construction contract
requirements.
• Reviewing construction contractor’s requests for payments and associated documents.
• Drafting scoping documents and cost estimates for construction contract modifications.
• Inspecting the construction work for progress, workmanship, quality and conformance with the contract
documents, applicable building codes, and safety standards.
• Monitoring construction contractor’s compliance with accident prevention plans and applicable safety
requirements.
