CNYG-2322M, Construction Supervision Consultant Services for NYC Parks Projects

Tectonic provides construction project management services under a three-year term Requirements Contract for various Parks projects throughout the five Boroughs of NYC.

Tectonic is executing a comprehensive and proactive approach to the management for each of the projects under this contract, tailoring to meet the needs and management style of DPR.  Each project is different which determines how our systems are applied and the specialty staff selected for the job. Our staff is working as DPR’s representative totally integrated with the Department of Park and Recreation’s staff.  Tectonic is supplying the appropriate expertise and manpower that DPR needs to complete every project successfully.

The Tectonic team oversees coordination and communication of all the different parties and disciplines involved on each project. Tectonic serves as DPR’s on-site representative throughout each project and is responsible for overseeing the work of the contractor(s) in accordance with Project’s contract. The Tectonic manager maintain communication with DPR by providing responsible reporting and documentation and are responsible for coordination, conducting progress meetings, providing progress reports, processing requests for information (RFI’s), reviewing and recommending change orders and progress payments and maintaining records to keep DPR appraised of project status.  Additionally, we prepare communication procedures to ensure prompt and efficient exchanges of information.

The quality management Tectonic is providing consists of administering the many various consultant contracts for maintaining total and timely compliance in the both the design and construction phases. Utilizing timely constructability reviews, including periodic cost estimates and regular progress meetings with the design team help maintain quality management of the design process.  Tectonic develops procedures for procurement, long lead items, document control, requests for information, submittals and change orders, and careful inspection of all work so that it is in full compliance with the contract, the plans and specifications and all relevant codes.

Tectonic’s comprehensive and aggressive approach to understanding the interrelationships inherent in a major construction effort, a preventive approach to claims and a highly trained professional staff that focuses on the individual needs of our clients are the practices safeguards DPR’s interests and bringing all projects under this contract to a successful completion.
