MOUNTAINVILLE, NY – June 1, 2015

Tectonic Engineering & Surveying Consultants P.C. has once again made the Engineering News Record’s (ENR’s) 2015 Top 500 Design Firms list. Tectonic ranked #162 among the top 500 firms providing design services. Tectonic also ranked #14 among the top 20 design firms by sector for Telecommunications Services.

The signs of the recession’s end can be seen in ENR’s Top 500 Design Firms list. The Top 500, taken as a group, firms had overall design revenue of $92.30 billion in 2014, up 0.4% from $90.69 billion in 2013. This marks the fourth year that the Top 500 experienced revenue growth since the beginning of the recession. Donald A. Benvie, P.E., President and CEO and Peter T. Sutherland, P.E., C.P.G., L.E.P., Vice President of Environmental Services recently participated in an interview for an article in the 2015 Executive Review Issue of the Environmental Business Journal. The article focused on consulting engineering firms that service the environmental industry and presented senior executives with questions regarding market perspectives, strategic priorities, management initiatives, policy opinions, and insights into their business and the industry. The interview focused on our environmental practice group and the highlights of some of our ongoing projects throughout 2014, especially for our work on the New York area storm recovery initiatives for tropical storms Irene and Lee and Superstorm Sandy.
