The MTA Bus Company selected Tectonic to perform program and construction management services during the preconstruction, construction and close-out phases for the La Guardia Bus Depot at 85-01 24th Avenue, Jackson Heights, NY 11369. The Depot has an assignment of 241 buses and operates five express and 13 local routes.

Preconstruction phase services included code compliance review, constructability reviews, utility studies and site investigations. Construction phase services included Resident Engineering and Inspection, contract administration, planning and scheduling, coordination of subcontractor’s work, review and approval of partial and final payment estimates, conducting onsite progress meetings, preparation of daily and weekly inspection reports, processing requests for information and preparing final as-builts.

Our services were performed with a focus on site safety, schedule and budget, adequacy of the project staff, critical and technical components of the construction work, compliance with project requirements, timely resolution of private utility issues, community outreach, accuracy and completeness of project work, documentation, and deliverables.
