On Friday, June 15^th, the Village of Haverstraw held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the completion of a streetscape project that will make the center of Haverstraw safer for pedestrians. Local officials, as well as members of the community, were present to show their support and enjoy a “Night Under the Stars” in celebration of the occasion.

The $5 million project was focused around improvements on New Main and Main Streets from the village entrance to the Hudson River, including Broadway. New sidewalks, curbs, landscaping, lighting, and signalization improvements helped to facilitate better traffic flow and provide safer pedestrian access points with crosswalks. Tectonic provided construction supervision and inspection services associated with the construction phase activities.

To mark the completion of the project, which started in 2016, town officials and others held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the park on Lincoln Street and Broadway. Tectonic was a proud sponsor of the event.
